you are interested in meeting people safely online, creating a Neighborhood
Watch program, helping in a small way to create a safe and friendly
neighborhood or just want to login online and see what is happening
on your street or neighborhood, then MyStreet is for you. A very
easy to use system will walk you through the signup process.
Different
levels can be setup based on interest levels and role in the community.
- from members who just want to see what's going on in their neighborhood;
- to Association Board Members looking for better communication;
- to the very Active Residents called Community Leaders (CL);
- along with City Officials, Service Providers, Activity Partners,
etc.
Unlike
other online communities, ALL the homes in your neighborhood are
included. MyStreet.com protects your privacy by letting you setup
"profiles" and linking our anonymous account to ANY existing
email account you may already have. We will notify you if your have
messages in MyStreet.com and your personal email address is always
hidden behind the MyStreet.com address. Also, no one outside of
your neighborhood can send you messages unless they are entered
into your personal MyStreet.com address book or part of your community
or validated by other residents.
You
can setup your profile information to include as much, or as little,
information as you feel is necessary. You can share information
with your community and choose what kind of information you want
delivered to you.
You
can choose to receive ONLY Suspicious Activity Reports and/or...
... notification of items residents a selling, Yard
Sales notices, specials from the business around your neighborhood,
etc... you can find Babysitters and other Neighbor Services; do
Petitions, use a Lost and Found, find Homes For Sale or Rent, Cheapest
Gas Locations; or even find other neighbors who like to Mountain
Bike, Snowboard, Play Chess, or just meet for coffee in the mornings&.
... its up to you, and in MyStreet you can always
find someone in your area to vouch for them.
Your
new MyStreet Neighborhood can now monitor all kinds of things in
your neighborhood that need attention. Board Members or Residents
may come across fallen or overgrown trees and bushes that block
walkways, report cracked or broken sidewalks and report suspicious
behavior by people or cars.
Create
and send a newsletter to invite neighbors to block parties, association
events, city council meetings or other happenings. Do petitions
online or poll for feedback before proceeding with community changing
decisions. Your city officials will also have a way to communicate
with you.
